They spent a bunch of money on 2 linebackers in free agency. IMO, linebacker is the easiest position to address in the draft. Same goes for DE. And yes, Jalen Carter was avaiilable, They drafted an OT in the first round. IMO, you are better off getting O-lineman in free agency. Due to the nuances of offensive line play, it takes most a while to get up to a high level. It doesn't happen right out of the gate. They wanted "weapons" for Fields. I do like DJ Moore, but wouldn't you be better off getting protection for Fields rather than weapons? A 2nd rounder for Claypool? We've already talked about that. Poles has only been GM for 20 games, but if the team doesn't show solid improvement the rest of the way, he has to go, along with Eberflus. Its hard to grade a draft and off season moves so early, but procedurally, he really messed up.
