Prob not but it's another mysterious injury where he cant even identify when it happened.
Meniscus injuries aren't always easy to know when they happen, I tore the medial meniscus in my left knee about 15 years ago and I had no idea when or how it happened either, one day I knelt down and felt a little something in my knee, figured it was a just a bruise or something minor since it didn't hurt a lot and the pain was minimal, it only hurt when I would kneel down or walk up a flight of stairs, most of the time I didn't even notice it, when it wouldn't go away I saw an orthopedist who ordered an MRI, that's when I found out. When you sprain or tear an ACL or MCL, you know right away something isn't right, but a meniscus is different, he could have done it running the bases or swinging a bat, there's no way to pin point when it happens since there's typically no immediate pain

Then he should play out the season as a DH and get the surgery in the off season. From what I've heard the surgery requires 1-2 months(prob 2), it happened in april so he "should" be looking at a return in july(perhaps after the all star game)?

Just watch, he'll be out till late aug or sept and will make a token appearance.

Playing with a torn meniscus is a bad idea, his knee is weakened which could lead to a more serious injury, if this were August or September and the Angels were fighting for a playoff berth, maybe, but at the start of May and playing for a team with no chance at the postseason, the prudent thing is to take care of it now. I know you like to shit on him whenever possible, but taking care of the injury now is the right thing to do

Kane,

I think you and I have several similar season win bets. Miami under, San Diego over. Gotta love that trade with the Padres getting Arraez.

The Marlins continue to be a joke of a franchise, Kim Ng did a great job last year and was widely praised for the job she did, her reward was being demoted, she refused the demotion and left. I could go on and on about the bad free agent signings, bad trades, and the bad drafting, the front office has no idea how to run a franchise, and I don't want to hear about the low payroll, other teams compete with low payrolls, just look across the state for proof, I guess the only good thing for them is when they get rid of good players there's such a small fan base that no one really gives much of a shit, fans down here are more interested in what the Dolphins or Heat are doing, I fully expect what ever other tradable players they have to also be moved, you can bet your life not one of the "prospects" they got from SD will ever amount to anything in the majors, as far as my win total on both teams, of course the trade is a good one, but as a fan it fucking sucks

The Angels could have had Pages in the Joc Pederson trade which included Rengifo. But Moreno dragged his feet so long Dodgers said FU.

BTW, the reason he's the former radio announcer is due to a salary dump, yes they do it with announcers as well as players

Former radio announcer Glenn Geffner on being let go by the Marlins: “Let’s be real. This was a decision made to save money, like so many other decisions this club has made over the last five-plus years. Good for them. They save a few bucks, and the product suffers.”

There's a video out there of one of the Padre prospects involved in the trade, is on second base when he finds out he's been traded. He's like WTF is going on....they pulled him out of hte game.

Turner out 6 weeks with hamstring injury …He was killing it the first month of April…Phillies might move Stott to short but it looks like Sosa will take over…

Arreaz is having a slow start for him - imagine batting .300 and being disrespected? he'll end up batting .325-335. I have no idea who these clowns are that got traded for him but Arraez has won 2 batting titles and will prob end up with 4-5.
